You're NOT for ART! (2024) 29:00

is a joyful, intimate documentary celebrating the lifelong creativity of octogenarian artist Sylvia Fahey-Kleindist. Blending VFX, graphic animation, and archival compositing, the film weaves Sylvia’s home movies, artwork, and collected ephemera into a vivid visual biography.

The story highlights the moments that shaped her—especially a formative teen experience that echoed through her life—and her early fascination with abstract artist Corban LaPel, which unexpectedly resurfaced six decades later. It also features her decades-long mail-art friendship with Russian artist Nail Vagapov, born from post-Soviet student and adult art exchanges.

At its heart, the film celebrates art as a lifelong practice sustained by curiosity, memory, and human connection—far beyond the pursuit of recognition.
